Interestingly the nose is not dissimilar from the Combettes if perhaps slightly higher-toned and ever-so-slightly more elegant yet the flavor profile is rich, full, powerful and well-muscled with plenty of mid-palate concentration and fine length. There is less emphasis on minerality than is typical and overall, this is not particularly elegant or refined but there is a lot of wine here, indeed to the point of having a chewy finish.
