86-87 / 100 Robert Parker Given the 1993 Latour's exceptional quality, it is not surprising to see how well-made the 1993 Forts de Latour, the estate's second wine, has turned out. It displays a deep ruby color, and a spicy nose of wood, herbs, nuts, and red and black fruits. More supple than its brawnier big brother, this wine possesses moderate tannin, as well as a medium-bodied, slightly austere personality. This classically rendered Pauillac should drink well for 10-15 years. Wine Advocate #97 Feb 1995
83 / 100 Wine Spectator Some good berry, cherry character, but rather lean and slightly hard with firm tannins. Best after 1997. www.winespectator.com
