Still quite dark with a rich, intense, cassis, oaky nose, ripe, moderately tannic, yet supple flavors, and excellent length, this wine is fully mature, but will keep for another decade. After the 1982, this is my favorite vintage. Anticipated maturity: Now-2000. Last tasted, 10/89.
