79 / 100 Wine Spectator Straightforward, a bit rustic, with some heavy oak dosage. Light- to medium-bodied, it tastes a bit of licorice, chocolate and cherry. 1,240 cases made. http://www.winespectator.com/wine/detail/source/search/not..
89 / 100 Allen Meadow The expressive nose is still extremely floral and trimmed in subtle but classic Vosne spice that introduces medium weight flavors of good richness but not as much nuance or grace that one might want as the otherwise reasonably complex finish displays a hint of greenness to the supporting structure. I was surprised at how well this was drinking given the extremely large format and while it will certainly hold for years to come, it's not clear that there will be any additional upside development. In short, while this is perfectly good for the vintage it's not particularly distinguished either.
