Crisp in texture, with spicy, floral and berry flavors that seem to grow, right into the mildly chewy finish. A delicious wine that needs until 1999 to 2001 to flesh out.

Remarkably elegant relative to prior tastings of this wine with reasonably complex and spicy fruit laced with strong secondary aromas and round, supple, easy going flavors that while not particularly dense or weighty are at least enjoyable (several prior bottles were downright undrinkable). Not especially distinctive but a very good effort in an otherwise difficult vintage. This could be approached now though it will certainly hold and may even soften with a few more years of bottle age. Consistent notes.
