A low key, miniaturized style of Lynch Bages, the 1981 exhibits notions of damp earth intermixed with red and black fruits, weedy tobacco, licorice and spice. Narrowly constructed, medium-bodied and beginning to dry out as the acids and tannins have begun to dominate, this Lynch Bages needs to be drunk ... soon.
