92-94 / 100 Robert Parker Tasted from a magnum. A similar colour to the 1970 tasted a couple of weeks previously. The nose is still evolving: oyster shells, lemon zest. Still quite backward in my opinion. The palate has superb definition, vibrant and quite yeasty and minerally. This needs another 5 years to develop more complex aromas and flavours like the 1969 and 1970. Broody, cerebral. Tasted July 2004. N/A, Other Publications
95 / 100 Wine Spectator Has oodles of Champagne complexity in a creamy, smooth package. Rich, toasty, creamy and elegant, with delicious nutty flavors that linger on the finish. Enormously concentrated; shows the full benefit of long-term aging on the yeast. http://www.winespectator.com/wine/detail/source/search/not..
